La Fête de la Science (Science Fair)
Organised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research since 1991, the Fête de la science takes place every year in October or November. This major scientific culture event offers free events throughout France. Thousands of scientific, cultural and educational actors come together to share their enthusiasm for science, technology and innovation with the public.
With Université Côte d'Azur, our students and professors are involved in helping young people discover the ocean, notably with our wide range of games, conferences, animations and workshops. In 2023 and 2024, we put a special focus on the issue of sustainable fisheries, for example through a dedicated section on the SDG14 in our MARRES board game and with our Naia comic book first issue on MPAs and sustainable fishing.

Ocean 21, Nice
On the occasion of the World Ocean Day, the City of Nice created Ocean 21, an event that promotes "the voice of the ocean" through exhibitions, workshops, conferences and projections. Within this framework, our students also deploy our range of games and activities to kids from various schools and high schools in the Nice area.
Monaco Ocean Week
Monaco Ocean Week was born from an obvious fact: the key players in the world of the sea must share their analysis of the major issues of marine conservation and mobilise to preserve the oceans. This meeting week takes place every year in Monaco in March and Université Côte d'Azur regularly supports and organise events aimed to promote conservation and sustainable utilisation of the oceans and marine resources.
In 2023, we have organised several panels of scientists, students and socio-economic actors. The first one, led by MARRES, addressed the concept of "comprehensive conservation" which combines the protection of marine ecosystems with the sustainable development of coastal communities [watch the event]. The other one, led by the ECOSEAS lab and RAMOGE, was addressing the opportunity of citizen science for the conservation of marine emblematic species of fish and other marine resources [info]

Our students also come sometimes directly to the contact of kids in schools and high-schools, on-site and online. Don't hesitate to contact us!
