This tool aims to support the promotion of innovation through public-private collaborative R&D. It provides funding for the co-development of technologies developed in academic laboratories belonging to the Université Côte d'Azur IdEx, in partnership with innovative companies.

Through its Innovation Partnership Call for Projects, the IdEx Université Côte d'Azur's Innovation program promotes the transfer of technology and expertise from Côte d'Azur academic research teams, by supporting public-private collaborative R&D.

Its aim is to finance partnerships between an academic researcher who is a member of IdEx Université Côte d'Azur and an industrial company.

Focusing on R&D activities with a view to technology transfer, projects are financed by a grant of up to €100k to cover their human resources or equipment needs.

Particular attention is paid to the added value that the collaboration brings to the competitiveness of the partner company and the research activity of the academic partner.

This call for projects is open to projects involving the development and valorization of technological and scientific assets linked to research work carried out by IdEx partner teams. Its aim is to support projects for the creation of innovative “DeepTech” companies.

1. Encouraging the creation of innovative companies


The Université Côte d'Azur IdEx Innovation program aims to encourage the transfer of technology and expertise from Côte d'Azur academic research teams through the creation of innovative companies, via its Call for Projects: Start-up Deeptech.

AAP START-UP DEEPTECH

The aim of this scheme is to support the creation of young companies in the Deeptech sector. A grant of up to €100,000 is available to meet the human and material resources needs of the company's founders.

2. Support for prizewinners
In addition to the Start-Up Deeptech program, winning entrepreneurs will be offered support in positioning their technology competitively, and an introduction to entrepreneurship, based on three modules offered within the DU Deeptech Entrepreneurship program: Deeptech Entrepreneurship Overview, Intellectual Property Strategy, Financing your Start-up.

3. Apply and grow
Once they have received this funding, project leaders can be supported by the Cellule Europe Mutualisée team to apply for the prestigious calls for projects issued by the European Innovation Council (EIC): Pathfinder, Transition ou Accelerator. Projects meeting the admission criteria can also benefit from the Ulysseus incubation program.
Thanks to the Start-up Deeptech AAPs, IdEx d'Université Côte d'Azur plays an active role in supporting and financing start-ups. This is particularly true of the following projects:

The Reference Center brings together the multidisciplinary activities of 13 Université Côte d'Azur laboratories in the field of extended realities. It aims to become a structuring hub for regional initiatives.

The Institut d'Innovation et de Partenariat specializes in the science of fragrances, linking Université Côte d'Azur research laboratories with players in the Arômes Parfums Cosmétiques industry. Strongly rooted in our region, it facilitates the development of interdisciplinary activities linked to this industry.
