Academy 1 Call for Projects
The "Networks, Information and Digital Society" Academy is one of Université Côte d'Azur's five Academies of Excellence.
High-level research laboratories work together within the Academy to study digital technologies, their uses and their acceptability. The Academy is funded by the Initiative d'Excellence (IdEx).
Thanks to specific IdEx funds dedicated to research and innovation, the "Complex Systems" Academy has a role to play as a catalyst. Its main mission is to encourage cross-disciplinary research themes and identify common methodological approaches, in order to bring about the emergence of shared objects of study.
The whole point of studying complex systems is to discover the laws at the origin of phenomena and events that seem random to us (rumors, weather, earthquakes, etc.), in order to predict them. To understand "complexity", the collaboration of scientists from different disciplines is essential.

Academy 3 Call for Projects
The future of our planet is one of today's greatest concerns. Numerous factors, both anthropogenic and natural, threaten our environments, our societies, our planet and even our space. Academy 3 "Space, Environment, Risks and Resilience" focuses on natural and man-made hazards and risks.
The aim is to understand the processes involved, their diversity, interconnections and social-environmental impacts, in order to help develop actions that ensure the sustainable well-being of our societies, our environments and our planet. These questions involve the whole range of scientific disciplines present at the Université Côte d'Azur. The projects federated and supported by Académie 3 are therefore multi, inter or trans-disciplinary in nature.
Académie 4 "Complexité et Diversité du Vivant" contributes to the structuring of Life Sciences Research at the Université Côte d'Azur by funding projects of Excellence that promote Emergence, Attractiveness and Transdisciplinarity. It aims to foster the emergence of a strong local bio-industry by supporting the development of new and original experimental approaches with high added value.
