Context

Collaboration between research structures helps to enhance the pluridisciplinarity, be more innovative and increase quality of publications. To transform spontaneous processes of exchanges in sustainable cooperation, the creation of collaborative structures aims at organize the sharing, facilitate exchanges and provide visibility to joint research. The present report focuses on the case of the Côte d’Azur University (UCA). In a context of historical joint projects in place with Monaco Scientific Center (CSM), and also various cooperation in process among its own laboratories, the UCA decided to provide a framework for these collaborations, with the signature in February 2020 of the agreement for creation of two new structures:

-The “International Associated Laboratory - Response of organisms and populations to environmental stress", LIA – ROPSE, shared with the CSM

-and the “Federative Institute of Research on Marine Resources”, IFR Marine Resources, including the laboratories of the UCA involved in researches related to marines resources

Objectives

-Preparing a baseline, including analysis of existing cooperation, evaluate the needs (with quantitative and qualitative surveys), and realize comparative studies with other similar cases,

-Developing outreach tools adapted to the expectancies of the members (for enhancing common identity, communicate internally and externally and facilitate joint work).
