Context

Coraliotech is a marine biotech, located in Monaco, that aims to discover, valorize, and commercialize innovative molecules originating from corals, selected to improve human health and well-being. We address the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and biotech companies. Our products are manufactured through a cutting-edge, scalable and fully ecological technology, allowing the total preservation of the natural environments. The coral ecosystems offer an extraordinary biodiversity and provide considerable potential in terms of active molecules, and research in this field is still in its infancy. Our know-how is continuously refined through our partnership with the Scientific Center of Monaco that acts as a world reference in the field, and is a differentiating foundation for the success of our business. Marine biologists are the indispensable intermediaries between natural organisms and commercially available products proposed by Coraliotech. They provide specific knowledge, and above all, genetic databases, that represent the source of raw materials essential for the manufacturing of Coraliotech products. The protection and preservation of coral ecosystems are part of our common objectives and an assurance of good ecological practices.

Objectives

The general objective of the work within Coraliotech would be to participate in the development of the startup through various possible activities. The first would be of a technical nature, with an immersion in the R&D processes for the production of coral molecules (genetic engineering, bioprocesses). The second would be of a commercial nature, more specifically on the marketing of products (definitions, applications), technology (safe, clean, ecological) or through a publishable study (deliverable : book or article) on the state of living corals in the local environment (Mediterranean) and their economical potential. The third work could be of a legal nature, in particular concerning the European and/or international regulations on marine products targeting health (pharmaceutical) or well-being (cosmetics): registration of new products, patentability conditions, various certifications, good manufacturing practices, etc... At the same time, we are open to any proposal that would allow Coraliotech to understand some important scientific, economic or legal data on coral and its potential commercial applications.
