Upgrade your science skills to join the "Science & Society" track

This 3-month program will allow talented students with an undergraduate diploma in a non natural science discipline (such as in Economics, Management, Political Science, Law, Communication, Engineering), who are open to interdisciplinarity and who could already be engaged in the professional field to join a graduate program such as the "Science & Society" track of the MSc. MARRES.

The program is built on the scientific method and the understanding of scientific facts and concepts. Learners acquire the essential scientific skills necessary for their progression to pursue studies in marine and/or life sciences.

Teaching methods

The training will be offered in full-online, mostly asynchronous with customized sessions:

  • asynchronous courses delivered in the form of video capsules, complementary documents and checkpoint tests
  • synchronous part (face to face at a distance) with the speaker for a recitation of the elements (Question and Answer session, Discussion, Coaching on projects)
  • asynchronous assessment (quizzes, exercises, projects, videos).

THE OTHER MARRES TRAININGS

MSc MARRES - Science & Society track

The MSc MARRES program allows the students to continue to Ph.D. programs, as a prelude to their future academic career. Students will have the opportunity to develop local or international conservation projects. They may also work in the private sector, in modeling the marine environment, becoming project leaders, project managers, or auditors for organizations connected with environmental issues. Finally, they may become entrepreneurs by creating green (or blue) start-ups valorizing the countless marine resources that they will help to protect.

  • Main objectives: Opening student's employability with interdisciplinary approach combined with empowering immersion projects

The 1-year track "Blue Managers"

This one-year online training offers a unique learning opportunity in marine science and management. It is a relevant option for professionals or graduates who want to get a job/specialize in marine sciences or who want to expand their expertise by specializing in theoretical and practical skills.

  • Duration: 1 year (intake in October) - Fully online
  • Main objectives: open/boost/redirect your career toward Blue Growth
