Co-organized by Academy 3 "Space, Environment, Risks and Resilience" and the Institute of Research for Development (IRD) at the Phoenix Park in Nice, this day brought together experts from various backgrounds and gathered more than 70 people to discuss major societal issues!
A total of 7 experts presented their work and shared their experiences to open the discussions:
- Flore Gubert (LEDa, IRD, Université Paris-Dauphine) – « Migration and the environment: a complex reality »
- Rodolphe Gozlan (ISEM, IRD, Université Montpellier) – « The role of climate change and deforestation in the emergence of infectious diseases »
- Gilles Montavon (Subatech, Institut Mines-Télécom Atlantique) – « Risks and benefits of water in a uranium territory; the need to cross knowledge »
- Frédéric Castagnola (SDIS 06, Nice)
- Olivier Cerdan (BRGM , Orléans) – « Soil erosion and sedimentary connectivity in the Anthropocene »
- Gwendoline Blanchet (Cnes, Toulouse) – « Spatial imaging: examples of applications »
- Olivier Dangles (CEF, IRD, Université Montpellier) – « What opportunities for environmental sciences to integrate the concept of sustainability? »
This day was thus structured around the major themes of Risks, Resilience and Societies. During this seminar, speakers and participants from all over France (students, teacher-researchers, researchers, and private sector actors) were able to exchange and share their experiences and knowledge.
