Professional experiences

The MARRES Symposium

On the first week of July, all students meet back in Nice to formally present their master thesis (Science & Society) and professional project (Blue Managers) experience. Year 1 students in the Science & Society track also present their progress on their immersion project through a video pitch, which we watch together in a relaxed atmosphere.

Sessions are available online from our Youtube channel, except for confidential presentations.

Immersion projects [Science & Society]

In the Science & Society track, immersion projects connects the students together and with local and international professionals in science, conservation and/or entrepreneurship according to their career objectives. In short, the immersion projects encompass the 1st-year internships, but it's much more than that!

What is an immersion project?

How does it work?

PHASE 1: WARM UP
from semester 1, all Mondays are fully dedicated to prepare the Y1 internship with a coaching on project management and a peer-coaching from 2nd-year-students.

PHASE 2: Y1 INTERNSHIP
during 4 to 6 months Y1 students are 100% devoted to the project implementation thanks to preceding months of preparation.

PHASE 3: POLISH UP & COACH
In 2nd year, all mondays from September to December are dedicated to finish the work, preprare final reports deliverables and coach Y1 students

Professional projects [Blue Managers]

After acquiring new knowledge and planning their transition, Blue Managers students are ready to test their career change through a 2 to 6-month experience in the form of an internship, a job, or a feasibility study. The students present their work either as a project plan or as a scientific article, depending on their career choice. They also present their work during the MARRES symposium alongside students from the Science & Society track at the end of June.
