... A look at the first results after shipping!
The SUPER-MOUV campaign project (SUb-seafloor effects of the Pedernales Earthquake Rupture, Ecuador: vertical MOUVements, coupling and seismicity) on the IFREMER scientific ship Pourquoi Pas? aims to establish a link between surface manifestations (deformations, fault reactivation, fluid migrations, slope destabilisation) and the location of the co-seismic and slow asismic landslide types that accompanied the Pedernales earthquake.
As part of this research, the scientists proposed an Education section, which was carried out by the EDUMED team.
This campaign is led by François Michaud (mission leader, Géoazur) and Jean-Noel Proust (co-mission leader, Geosciences Rennes) and ran from mid-January 2024 to the end of February 2024, supported by the Academy 3!
