Academy 3 supports the Anthropocene, Collapsology, Environmental Justice & Responsible Consumption Seminar

Co-organised on 16 June 2023 by Damien Bazin, Senior Lecturer in Economics at GREDEG & Mantiaba Coulibaly-Ballet, Senior Lecturer at GRM, and supported by the Académie 3, the Seminar "Anthropocene, Collapsology & Environmental Justice & Responsible Consumption" will address the new challenges of nature for a responsible consumption. This seminar is part of the theme "Energy- and resource-related environmental challenges".
On June 16th, the second edition of the interdisciplinary seminars organised by the GREDEG, co-funded by the Academy of Excellence "Space, Environment, Risk and Resilience" and the MSHS-Sud Est (axes 3 & 4) will be held at the MSHS Sud-Est. If last year, the project team, federated around Damien BAZIN, Senior Lecturer in Economic Sciences (HDR) - GREDEG, focused on the theme of Nature & Emotions, this year it is on the theme of the Anthropocene, collapsology, environmental justice and responsible consumption that the meeting will focus.
REGISTRATION & PROGRAM
Over a one day period, the discussions will deal with the new challenges of nature for a responsible consumption. The various speakers will approach this theme through the prism of their own areas of expertise:
- Economics and management sciences (GREDEG, Bordeaux Sciences Economiques, GRM),
- Political science and law (ERMES),
- Humanities (LAPCOS)
- Environmental science for agriculture (INRAE).
The presentations will be followed by a time of discussion with the members of the day. The nature of the project being at the crossroads of themes, this day is of course addressed to the laboratories of each speakers but also to researchers and students of all fields of study.
The multidisciplinary nature of the day's presentations will serve to stimulate debate on the ecology of collapse and responsible consumption. Energy, food and social consumption will be addressed. Parts of the colapsological statements will be debated and deconstructed to allow for reflection.

Between environmental and social sciences, it is therefore a great opportunity for Academy 3 to cross the views and to bring out tomorrow's projects.

We could imagine another workshop, but the aim of Academy 3 is to give a boost to project leaders, for larger calls, we would like to submit a thematic ANR. That's why I got involved in Academy 3, for the outreach and the oppotunity it offers..

The 2022 workshop led to a publication in the journal Environnemental Values : « Ecology of Fear and Climate Change: A Pragmatism Point of View », Environnemental Value , in collaboration with Ballet J. and Petit E. (two guest speakers at the workshop).
