PROJECTS FUNDED BY ACADEMY 3 IN 2022

"CONSORTIUM" PROJECTS

As part of its two calls for "Consortium" projects aimed at intensifying collaborative and transdisciplinary approaches launched in 2022, Academy 3 has funded 6 large-scale projects, for a total amount of 262,000 €.

Consortium Call - January 2022
  • A. Gallet (ISA) : VirBt - Foodborne outbreaks and bacteremia associated to Bacillus thuringiensis biopesticides: in vivo evaluation and modeling of the virulence potential.
  • N. Lazaric (GREDEG) : TEFOR - TErritorial FOod systems Resilience - Co-construction of tomorrow’s agriculture scenarios.
  • C. Sabourault (ECOSEAS) : MARE - Integrated management of marine resources (application to the future AMP of Nice).
Consortium Call - September 2022 :
  • M.-Y. Bottein (ECOSEAS) : BENTOX+ - Role of benthic communities in the production and transfer of marine microalgae toxins: environmental, health and economic issues.
  • T. Jobert (GREDEG) : Natural disaster and mental health. Reconstructing the territories and repairing the living.
  • L. Van Oudenhove (INRAe) : ENI-BC+ - Network on Non-Target Effects of BioControls.

"FIRST" PROJECTS

Thanks to the two "First" calls for projects that Academy 3 launched in 2022 in order to support innovative research projects that contribute intensively to one or more of its five priority themes, 14 projects were supported for a total amount of 82 000 €.

First Call - January 2022 :
  • S. Bouissou (ESPACE) : AURACLE - "Food Autonomy and Resilience through Shortcuts in Cities: Contributions of Geoprospecting".
  • G. Carle (TIRO-MATOs) : SEnTOs - "Environmental Stress and Bone Tissue (SEnTOs): Exploring the molecular mechanisms involved in bone cells in response to heavy metal exposure".
  • O. Khalfallah (IPMC) : "To elucidate the mechanisms by which endocrine disruptors alter neurodevelopment using human brain organoids".
  • D. Mercerat (CEREMA - Géoazur) : "Tracking historical earthquakes and seismic resilience in the medieval buildings of Ardèche (France)".
  • R. Rousset (ISA) : "Evaluating whether chronic food intake of Bacillus thuringiensis bioinsecticides promotes bowel diseases".
First call - September 2022
  • C. Hurel (INPHYNI) : VAPOREE - VAlorisation of industrial by-products into Porous materials for Energy and Environmental applications.
  • O. Khalfallah (IPMC) : Edminibrain - To elucidate the mechanisms by which endocrine disruptors alter neurodevelopment using human brain organoids.
  • F. Leclerc (GEOAZUR) : DEEP BLUE - Diving to understand the largest tsunamigenic earthquake of the Mediterranean since the XXth century: the 1956 Amorgos earthquake, Greece.
  • Q. Megret (LAPCOS) : " After the storm”: Studying a “natural disaster” from an anthropological perspective.
  • A. Menant (GEOAZUR) : AC-DC - Accretion-Controlled Deformation Cycles along the Hellenic subduction zone.
  • P. Navard (Cemef-ICN) : Proof of concept: potential migration of plastic additives through human skin.
  • S. Perez (ESPACE) : NR2P3 - Nuclear Risk and Radioisotope, from Public Perception to new Policies.
  • N. Zucchini-Pascal (INRAe) : Cry toxins used in genetically modified crops: Mode of action and unintended effects.
