The 3IA Côte d'Azur Institute

3IA Côte d'Azur Institute: A Leading Interdisciplinary AI Hub
The 3IA Côte d’Azur Institute is one of the four «Interdisciplinary Institute for Artificial Intelligence» labelled in 2019 by the French Government.

The institute is coordinated by Université Côte d’Azur in partnership with majorhigher education and research partners : CNRS, Inria, INSERM, EURECOM and SKEMA Business School.
The project is also supported by MINES ParisTech, the Nice University Hospital, INRAE, local authorities and, at project start, by 62 companies.

Its ambition is to make AI expertise and tools available to academia, companies, and the community, in order to have a significant impact in terms of economic value.

Thanks to its dual expertise in academic research and in innovation with companies, 3IA Côte d’Azur federates different actors of the territory: academia, industry and local authorities.

The MSc DSAI & the 3IA Institute

The MSc Data Science and Artificial Intelligence is certified by the 3IA. The label certify the excellence of a program and that at least 50 % of the courses are dedicated to AI.

The MSc DSAI benefits from the rich ecosystem of the 3IA Institute. MSc students are invited to various events, such as the SophI.A Summit and the 3IA Talents Day. Furthermore, many professors in the MSc DSAI program are chairholders at the 3IA Institute. The two tracks in the second year are also representative of the research areas promoted by the 3IA.

MSc DSAI students were invited to participate in the 3IA Talents Day. During this event, Master’s students, as well as PhD students and post-doctoral researchers, have the opportunity to meet with DeepTech companies conducting R&D activities in AI across various fields (Core Tech, Health, Biology, Smart Territories), primarily based in the Alpes-Maritimes region. This allows students to meet key players in the AI sector, expand their networks, and broaden the opportunities available to them.

Each year, MSc DSAI students attend the SophIA Summit. During 3 days, the Soph.IA Summit brings together the best AI experts in world, in biology, health, mobility and smart applications, covering both core technology and its applications who will present their work through meetings, debates, round tables and posters.
