PUBLICATIONS CLIM-ECO2

In the ecological part of the project, a first publication dating from 2020 presents the methodology developed to project the future ranges of species. This has been applied to different groups of Mediterranean species, such as small pelagic fish including sardines and anchovies, cephalopods including common octopus and common cuttlefish (two other publications in 2021). The same methodology was also applied to fish species with high economic value, such as common sole, European seabass or gilthead sea bream. The results are part of a publication in preparation. Finally, a final publication will deal with non-native species originating from the Red Sea, which can become invasive in the Mediterranean and induce significant ecological and socio-economic consequences.

From an economic point of view, several publications are also planned to share the results of the project. More specifically, we will propose an economic vulnerability index that will consider the degree of exposure, the economic sensitivity and the degree of adaptation of the different countries bordering the Mediterranean.
