A Word About the Director
Cyril Ronco
Dr. Cyril RONCO is an engineer and member of the Humboldt Foundation. He has worked successively in Rouen, Jena, and Lille in the field of bioorganic and medicinal chemistry. His research includes developing subnanomolar inhibitors of anti-Alzheimer cholinesterases, applications in imaging, industrial enzyme purification (such as Chemforase), the total synthesis of the complex macrocycle Urukthapelstatin A, and anticancer derivatives. Additionally, he focuses on designing metallopeptidase ligands for diabetes. Since 2014, he has been affiliated with the University of Côte d’Azur (UCA), where his oncology research aims to overcome drug resistance phenomena in cancer and infectious diseases. - Program Partnership- Institut de Chimie de Nice
-
The Medicinal & Bioorganic Chemistry (MedBioChem) Master's program is supported by the Institut de Chimie de Nice located on the Valrose Campus.
The Institut de Chimie de Nice is structured into four distinct research teams:- Team Flavors-Fragrances-Synthesis-Modeling
- Team Bioactive Molecules
- Team Human and Environmental Radiochemistry
- Team Eco-Compatible Materials and Polymers
The Institute also includes a Technology Platform, comprising three shared services (NMR, mass spectrometry and molecular modeling).
