On Monday 11 September 2023, the MSc RISKS team welcomed the new M1 students at the IMREDD campus. 9 students of 7 nationalities joined the program this year.
The morning was devoted to welcome talks and presentations by the MSc RISKS team, as well as an introduction to the program delivered by the program director, Dennis Fox.
In the afternoon, the students and the MSc RISKS team visited the park of the Colline du Château in Nice, and the students participated in some activities to learn about the local environment and identify the possible major risks that the city of Nice can be confronted with (such as floods, forest fires, mass movements and earthquakes).
The day ended with a visit to the old town of Nice, where the students and MSc RISKS team enjoyed some tasty ice-cream!
