Pierre Alliez is Senior Researcher and Team Leader at Inria center at Université Côte d'Azur. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2000 from Telecom ParisTech. He has authored many scientific publications and several book chapters on topics commonly referred to as geometry processing. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Computer Graphics Forum since 2022. He is an Associate Editor of the Computational Geometry Algorithms Library (http://www.cgal.org). He was awarded in 2011-2015 an ERC Consolidator Grant on robust geometry processing, and in 2017-2018 an ERC Proof of Concept Grant from the European Research Council. His current research focuses on learnable 3D shape representations, reconstruction of 3D scenes and geometry processing algorithms for digital twins of industrial sites.
