  • Diane Lingrand
Diane Lingrand obtained her PhD in Computer Vision in 1999. She is now associate professor at the University of Côte d'Azur. She is teaching at the engineering school Polytech and at the international Master DSAI (Data Science and IA). Her research focus on Machine Learning and Computer Vision with applications in autonomous driving, marine biology and archeology. She is member of the I3S laboratory, associate member of Maasai team INRIA/UniCA/CNRS.
  • Elena Cabrio
Elena Cabrio is Full Professor at Université Côte d’Azur and member of the Inria-I3S team Wimmics. She holds a Chair in AI at the Interdisciplinary Institute for Artificial Intelligence 3IA Côte d’Azur on “AI and Natural Language”.After receiving her PhD from the University of Trento (Italy) in 2011, she worked as a PostDoc at Inria Sophia Antipolis, before she was hired as an assistant professor at Université Côte d’Azur from 2015 to 2022. Her main research interests are Argumentation Mining, Information Extraction and abusive language detection. Goal of her research is to design debating technologies for advanced decision support systems, to support the exchange of information and opinions in different domains (as healthcare and politics), leveraging interdisciplinarity and advances in machine learning for NLP. She currently coordinates the ANTIDOTE (ArgumeNtaTIon-Driven explainable AI fOr digiTal mEdicine) project (CHIST-ERA XAI19).
  • François Brémond
François Brémond is a Research Director at Inria Sophia Antipolis-Méditerranée, where he created the STARS team in 2012. He has pioneered the combination of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Computer Vision for Video Understanding since 1993, both at Sophia-Antipolis and at USC (University of Southern California), LA. In 1997, he obtained his PhD degree in video understanding and pursued this work at USC on the interpretation of videos taken from UAV (Unmanned Airborne Vehicle). In 2000, recruited as a researcher at Inria, he modeled human behavior for Scene Understanding: perception, multi-sensor fusion, spatio-temporal reasoning and activity recognition. He is a co-founder of Keeneo, Ekinnox and Neosensys, three companies in intelligent video monitoring and business intelligence. He also co-founded the CoBTek team from Nice University in January 2012 with Prof. P. Robert from Nice Hospital on the study of behavioral disorders for older adults suffering from dementia. He is author or co-author of more than 300 scientific papers published in international journals or conferences in video understanding. He has (co)-supervised 20 PhD theses.
  • Laurent Pilati
Laurent is software engineering manager at NXP Semiconductors. Previously, principal engineer at Broadcom on audio algorithms for Bluetooth and Mobile platforms.Laurent Pilati is leading a team of software engineers for deploying Voice AI on NXP MCU, MPU and NPU platforms. We deliver Voice User interface, Voice Call and Generative AI solutions
  • Ludovic Dibiaggio
L Dibiaggio L DibiaggioLudovic Dibiaggio is a full professor of economics. His research and teaching interests focus on the areas of innovation. In particular, he has studied the determinants and influences of innovation on technological knowledge systems, organizations, and regions. In his projects, he has studied the semiconductor, fuel cell, and biotech industries and, more recently artificial intelligence. He currently works on the role of regional alignment in the emergence and development of regional innovation ecosystems
  • Maxime Sermesant
Maxime Sermesant is a permanent researcher at Inria, the French National Research Institute in Digital Sciences and Technology. His innovative research work combines biophysical and statistical modelling with clinical data. This is by nature a very collaborative and multi-disciplinary work at the intersection of academic, clinical and industrial environments. His research interests include biomedical image processing, organ modelling and machine learning. The integration of these areas open up possibilities in clinical data analysis for diagnosis, and in pathology simulation for therapy planning. He pioneered the development of patient-specific models of the heart. He received his Diploma in General Engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris, France in 1999, his MSc from Ecole Normale Superieure de Cachan, France in 1999, and his PhD in Control, Signal and Image Processing from the University of Nice – Sophia Antipolis, France in 2003. From June 2003 to December 2005, he was a Research Fellow with the Cardiac MR Research Group, Guy’s Hospital, King’s College London, UK and since 2005, he is a Research Scientist at Inria. He obtained a chair of AI & Biophysics at the 3IA Côte d’Azur AI Institute, and created the Multimodal Data Science team at IHU Liryc in 2019.
  • Michele Bezzi
Michele Bezzi is a Development Manager at SAP Product Security, where he leads a team of security experts in securing AI and leveraging AI technologies to enhance the security of SAP’s products. Previously, he was research manager at SAP Security Research, where he led a team of researchers in devising innovative privacy and security solutions, including tools for secure development, intrusion detection systems, and software security analysis.Michele holds an M.S. and Ph.D. in Physics, and he has over 20 years of experience in industrial research from his roles at SONY, Accenture, and SAP. Throughout his career, he has supervised several European research projects and authored over 50 scientific papers and patents covering diverse research areas, such as security, privacy, artificial intelligence, neural networks, evolutionary models, and complex systems.
  • Pierre-Alexandre Mattei
Pierre-Alexandre Mattei is a Research Scientist at Inria. He is part of the Maasai (Models and Algorithms for Artificial Intelligence) team and is also affiliated with the J.A. Dieudonné lab and holds a 3IA Côte d'Azur chair. His field of research is statistical machine learning, with a particular emphasis on hidden variables, missing values, and model uncertainty.
