Prof. Christophe Den Auwer is a research professor at Université Côte d'Azur. He received his PhD in 1995 from the University of Paris XI and McGill University. He continued his post-doctoral work at the Laboratory for the Use of Electromagnetic Radiation at Orsay and joined CEA as a staff member in 1997. In 2002, he was awarded a fellowship that allowed him to join the Los Alamos National Laboratory and the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory in the United States. In 2011, he joined the Nice Sophia Antipolis University (Université Côte d'Azur since 2019) as a full Professor, where he integrated the Nice Institute of Chemistry, where he is responsible for the team Human and Environmental Radiochemistry as we as deputy director of the Institute. His research interests cover environmental and human radiochemistry looking at the fate and impact of radioisotopes on the hydrosphere, biotope and human. He is also the director of the Academy of Excellence Space, Environment, Risk and Resilience and of out of the 12 experts that joined the green deal European University Association task force to achieve the recognition and mobilisation of universities as critical stakeholders for enhancing the Green Deal.
