ODD 13 of Université Côte d'Azur

SDG 13 (Sustainable Development Goal) calls for urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. The Côte d'Azur region, with its fragile coastline and tourist economy, is particularly exposed to the consequences of global warming. Université Côte d'Azur, aware of the stakes, is positioning itself as a key player in research and innovation to meet this global challenge. The various facets of ODD 13 highlight the university's contributions to the fight against climate change.

What is ODD 13? Better understanding?

SDG 13, or Sustainable Development Goal 13, aims to take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. It is a global call to action in the face of an urgent, planetary challenge. This goal recognizes that climate change poses a serious threat to our planet and to future generations. It therefore encourages countries to strengthen their resilience to climate-related natural disasters, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve knowledge of climate change. In short, SDG 13 aims to ensure a sustainable future for our planet by limiting global warming and adapting to its inevitable effects.
