Cognitive Systems, Normality and Pathology of the Human Brain, and Computational Neuroscience
This program aimed to position Université Côte d’Azur internationally with respect to research on theoretical and computational modeling in cognitive science and neuroscience, in particular by promoting i) interactions between human and social sciences, on the one hand, biology and medicine, on the other and ii) the contribution of mathematical and computational models. The Idex dynamic and the outstanding results of this program enabled the community to create the NeuroMod institute, which is the first thematic Institute and now official component of Université Côte d'Azur since the 1st of January 2020.
Program objectives:
- Organize interactions between the different disciplines involved to improve expertise.
- Position the Université Côte d’Azur in a specific niche, thereby allowing it to become well-regarded in the field.
- Support truly innovative projects having an element of risk.
- Connect international training programs to the research.
- Capitalize on the experience and knowledge already acquired in terms of public outreach and dissemination of results.
Steering committee:
- Maureen Clerc
- Patricia Reynaud-Bouret
