Art and Science
This program aims to encourage interactions between art and science. All the arts and sciences are involved. By combining artistic creation with the development of new tools and technologies, certain projects could progressively evolve or lead to innovation, thereby making them ready to apply for other, complementary calls for proposals. It is thus possible to position particular projects, which could also result in public events for outreach and dissemination of results.
Program objectives:
- Include the UCA’s art schools by promoting joint research or even joint laboratories through project support but also by financing doctoral dissertations at interfaces.
- Promote the emergence of excellence in the field with respect to contemporary creation and new technologies; this excellence will occur through academic research, artistic creation, performing arts, and the creation of start-ups.
- Position this excellence at an international level by strengthening already-existing collaborations and networks.
- Accompany regional development led by the surrounding municipalities, especially Nice and Cannes.
- Incorporate promotional activities aimed at both general and academic audiences through large, recurring events.
