Second year: 80 participants, 30 flash-talks, more than 30 posters and 3 prizes
The second event took place on March 25, 2019 at the St Paul Hotel in Nice.
Scientific presentations were given by guest speakers well known in the scientific community for their work in the field of complex systems, such as Nadine Peyrieras, CNRS Senior Research Scientist at the Paris-Saclay Institute of Neuroscience and Christian Rey, Principal Investigator of the Computational and Applied Mathematics team of the company SAFRAN.
Along with the presentations, lively poster sessions were also organized with the aim of maximizing networking opportunities.
Three prizes awarded
3 prizes of up to €2k per person were awarded for the best poster presentations. The awards were used to cover travel expenses for doctoral and post-doctoral students participating in international conferences.
In addition, doctoral students (EDSFA/STIC) who attended the event received the equivalent of 4 hours of transversal doctoral credit or one third of an ECTS.
