Université Côte d'Azur's ODD 3
SDG 3 (Sustainable Development Goal) aims to ensure a healthy life and promote well-being for all at all ages. This objective is more topical than ever, particularly in the context of an aging population and the emergence of new diseases. Université Côte d'Azur, with its numerous health research laboratories and medical training courses, is a key player in the search for innovative solutions to improve health for all. From the prevention of chronic diseases to the promotion of mental health and the development of new treatments, this article explores the various facets of MDG 3 and highlights the university's contributions to this global challenge.
What is SDG 3? Better understanding
SDG 3 aims to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all, at all ages. This means that everyone should have access to quality health care, live in a healthy environment and enjoy optimal mental and physical well-being. This goal encompasses reducing maternal and child mortality, combating diseases (whether infectious or chronic), promoting mental health and strengthening health systems. In short, MDG 3 aspires to a world where health is not a privilege but a fundamental right for all.
