Now, as an IdEx international student at Université Côte d'Azur, she has set herself the goaI to become a Biobank quality manager in a laboratory in France.

Why did you choose Université Côte d'Azur?

H.L.N: This MSc program at the University Cote d'Azur offers an excellent learning environment that combines theory and practice as well as collaborative partnerships. I want to do more research in biology, and France is a great place to work. For these reasons, I am confident that Université Côte d'Azur is the place to be. In addition, the location and weather here make for a wonderful standard of living.

Did you make any specific preparations before leaving?

H.L.N: I went to France for a year before starting school, so I definitely knew that learning French while living in France is very important. Besides, a solid knowledge base and self-confidence are the "special luggage" that I bring with me.

What were your first impressions when you arrived on the French Riviera? Did it match the image in had in your mind?

H.L.N: I think I am in love with this place. There's the sea and the mountains, what could be better? When I think of France, I think of the Eiffel Tower, but France is not only that, there are many activities and events not to be missed here, such as the Colline du Château, the Old Town, Flea and Street Markets, Art Museums, and the brilliant fireworks in the summer...

What advice would you give to other students considering studying in Université Côte d’Azur?

H.L.N: Communicate and make more friends. Coming to a new country, there are many things we need to adapt to in both study and life, so don’t hesitate to put questions to your professors or friends. They will help you a lot. Remember to prepare carefully before coming to class, do your homework and get enough sleep. Finally, believe in yourself, you can do it!
