A study trip to a European smart city is part of the curriculum of the MSc Engineers for Smart Cities.
This year the students discovered not one, but three smart cities in the Netherlands: Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Utrecht!
For one week, they visited local public and private organizations to better understand how this country and its citizens are tackling climate change, population growth, the rapidly changing urban fabric, and needs in terms of transportation.
The Netherlands is a country that takes existing environmental problems very seriously. And it is a country that all other countries should learn from!
