Nice Côte d’Azur Airport is the second largest airport in France after Paris with 14 million passengers per year, more than 120 direct destinations without charter flights operated by 60 companies to 43 countries.
 
Nice is directly connected to the major European hubs such as Paris, London, Amsterdam, as well as to New York and Dubai and the main airlines are operating from the airport. In the case you would transit through Paris, regular flights to Nice are available (every 30 minutes and the flight last 45 min to 1 hour).
Nice Côte d’Azur airport is only 15 minutes from the centre of Nice and has a direct tramway link to the city centre. Regular bus and train links provide easy access to of the entire French Riviera, Monaco included.

Coming by train

Please be aware that the trains from Paris to Nice require approximately 6 hours travel time.

With an arrival directly in the city centre to the Central Train Station, Gare de Nice Ville, fast and express trains (TGV, intercity) connect the Côte d’Azur to all French regions and to all major European cities. Fast train TGV makes it possible to travel from Paris to Nice in less than 6 hours, Lyon to Nice in 4 hours 30 minutes or Marseille to Nice in 2 hours 40 minutes.

The Paris Austerlitz-Nice night train allows you to travel at a low price while sleeping.

If you are planning to stay some extra days we advise you to consider the Regional Express Trains.

The TER (Trains Express Régionaux) quickly connect all the main towns on the Côte d’Azur between Cannes and Ventimiglia (Italy).

Getting around by bus and tramway

Local transportation 

Please be aware that the transportation from and to the venues planned on the 8th (Palais des Festivals de Cannes) and 9th (Centre Universitaire Méditerranéen) will be organised by us so no need to plan another option.

The airport transfer options to Nice are reliable either by tramway, taxi or Uber.

Tramway

The tram line 2 serves the airport (Terminal 1 and Terminal 2) while connecting to the city center 21 hours a day from Monday to Sunday.
A tram train goes to the airport approximately every 8 minutes on weekdays.

Solo ticket for a 74-minute trip with connections cost €1.50 and can be purchased from the machines located at every stops.

Various other types of tickets for occasional travel also exists: Multi 10 trips, 1-day pass, 7-day pass.

  • Terminal 1: the taxi rank is located at entrance A1
  • Terminal 2: the taxi rank is located at entrance A3

Uber

Uber works properly in Nice and are available from the airport. However, they can’t park close to the arrival gate, thus we would advise you to consider Taxi or other private vehicules. Uber can however be a good option for other travels.
