What is ODD 4? Better understanding

MDG 4 aims to ensure quality, equitable and inclusive education for all, and to promote lifelong learning opportunities.

In other words, the aim is for everyone, whatever their origin, gender or social background, to be able to access quality education and develop their full potential.

This goes far beyond simply learning to read and write. It's about giving people the tools they need to develop personally and professionally, to participate actively in society and to meet the challenges of the modern world.

Institutional commitment to SDG 4

As an institution of higher education, Université Côte d'Azur plays a key role in achieving this goal. Thanks to its researchers, teachers and numerous partnerships, it contributes to :
  • Educational research: By exploring new pedagogies, evaluating the effectiveness of educational systems and identifying the specific needs of learners.
  • Training future teachers: By offering high-quality initial and in-service training, to train professionals capable of meeting today's educational challenges.
  • Pedagogical innovation: By developing digital tools and innovative learning methods to make education more accessible and effective.
  • Promotion of lifelong learning: By offering continuing education and vocational training programs to enable people to develop their skills throughout their lives.
