Université Côte d’Azur is continuing preparations for the 2027 renewal of its European “HR Excellence in Research” award. The results of the two surveys carried out in 2026 among the research community and postdoctoral researchers are now available.
Awarded the HRS4R label in 2022, Université Côte d’Azur is updating its Human Resources Strategy for Researchers in preparation for its future action plan.
Two complementary surveys were conducted in 2026 to better identify the needs and priorities of the research community:
a dedicated survey for postdoctoral researchers, carried out in February 2026;
the general HRS4R survey, conducted from July to September 2026 among the Université Côte d’Azur research community.
The results provide insight into the expectations expressed across the four pillars of the HRS4R renewal process:
Research assessment, recruitment and career progression
Working conditions and practices
Research careers and talent development
Ethics, integrity, equality and open science
A cross-cutting section is also dedicated to the use of and needs regarding artificial intelligence.
The dedicated postdoctoral survey complements these findings by providing specific insight into key issues for early-career researchers, including career support, training, research funding, mobility, working conditions and welcoming arrangements.
These results will now contribute to the working groups and to the preparation of the future HRS4R Action Plan, ahead of the 2027 renewal of the label.
