She is Vice President for International Affairs at Université Côte d'Azur since its creation in January 2020, and is a Professor of biology in the LIFE graduate school. She received a Master degree of biochemistry then a PhD in molecular biology and cellular pharmacology from the Université Nice Sophia Antipolis in 1999. After a two-year post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Arizona (Tucson), she joined Université Nice Sophia Antipolis as an Associate Professor. She is currently the head of the laboratory ECOSEAS (Ecology and Conservation Science for Sustainable Seas). She is mainly working on ecology of marine communities (ecophysiology, environmental genomics, chemical ecology). She is developing new tools for biodiversity monitoring (environmental DNA, biomonitoring using artificial intelligence). She is also interested in sustainable fishing and marine protected area management. She obtained several grants, including a prestigious ANR Jeune Chercheuse grant. She has coordinated several training tracks, including a master's degree and a double bachelor degree in chemistry and biology. As the Vice President for International Affairs she aims to make Université Côte d'Azur an open to the world and committed university.
